How does EVC work with iManage or NetDocs EE document management email?

Overview

Companies that are using iManage or NetDocs EE document management systems will have users “check-in” emails to the doc management system. (either manually or automatically).  When they do this, the email gets tagged with specific filing properties. 

If the item is an Enterprise Vault shortcut and the workflow has the delete shortcut step, this could be an issue as the properties and filing status of the messages are then removed.  

EVC mitigates this issue by examining the shortcut. If an EV shortcut contains iManage (or NetDocs EE) properties, we store them and add them to the original EV source email that is migrated.  

This is configured on the Mail Migration step by setting the bottom 2 options to Yes.
